Tony Award winner Faith Prince was most recently seen on the Broadway stage in A Catered Affair where she received a Tony Nomination for Best Actress in a Musical as well as Outer Critics Circle, Drama League and Drama Desk nominations. Prior to that, she was a series regular on Showtime’s critically acclaimed original series Huff. Prince starred as Kelly Knipers, the lovable and quirky love interest of Oliver Platt. She can be seen in the recently released independent film Our Very Own with Allison Janney and Cheryl Hines, and opposite Hilary and Haily Duff in their feature film Material Girls. Prince is best known for her Tony-winning turn as the perennially unwed Miss Adelaide in the 1992 Broadway revival of Guys and Dolls, for which she also won the Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards. She was nominated for two other Tonys for her portrayal of “Ella Peterson” in the revival of Bells Are Ringing (for which she again received an Outer Critics Circle and Drama Desk nomination) and Jerome Robbin’s Broadway (also coupled with a Drama Desk nomination).
On television, Prince recurred for five seasons on SPIN CITY and on the critically acclaimed NOW AND AGAIN. Her television credits also include, among others, the self-titled series FAITH, NBC’s SWEET POTATO QUEENS, GREY’S ANATOMY, HOUSE, MONK, WELCOME TO NEW YORK and LAW AND ORDER. Additional film credits include PICTURE PERFECT, DAVE, and MY FATHER THE HERO.
Prince is an accomplished singer who has worked with The Boston Pops, the Utah Symphony, the Cincinnati Pops and more. Last year Faith spent 3 weeks in Australia touring her show “MOVING ON” in Sydney and Melbourne to rave reviews. In addition she has enjoyed a National Tour of “OVER THE RAINBOW,” a concert celebrating the centennial of Harold Arlen with Tom Wopat. A live recording of her award-winning show entitled “A LEAP OF FAITH” was recorded at Joe’s Pub in New York, and is available on DRG records.
