The Florida Opera Theatre Chorus

The Florida Opera Theatre Chorus is composed of 40 plus professional, semi-professional and student singers along with a number of talented local residents who indulge their passion for music and opera as an avocation.  The chorus first performed for the Orlando Philharmonic’s production of La Bohemè in the spring of 2011 and will be a part of its production of Verdi’s Rigoletto in the spring of 2012. They are led by Florida Opera Theatre’s Chorus Master and Music Director, Robin Andrew Stamper, an Orlando native with degrees in piano performance from both the Eastman School of Music and the Juilliard School. Florida Opera Theatre is Orlando’s young but growing professional opera company which will open its inaugural season this year with performances of Gian Carlo Menotti’s The Medium and Gioachino Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia.
