Insights from Olga Ferroni

There are few means of artistic expression that lend themselves to expressing passion better than music.  As expressed by Plato two and a half thousand years ago, “Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, a charm to sadness, gaiety and life to everything; It is the essence of order and lends to all that is good, just, and beautiful.”  The music included in “The Strings of Passion” will confirm the ancient thinker’s words and display the dynamic power of music to uplift the soul.

With a selection of music ranging from compositions of master composer George Frideric Handel to the innovative melodies of American jazz, this will be less a history lesson of great music and more of a journey through the creative spirit and passion that has driven all human endeavors since the first creative thought dawned in the minds of our prehistoric ancestors.  Music is everywhere in love and life, and just as Lord Byron wrote:

“There’s music in the sighing of a reed;
There’s music in the gushing of a rill;
There’s music in all things, if men had ears:
Their earth is but an echo of the spheres.”

I hope you will join us!
