You’ll be tapping your toes to popular classics and classic pops, including music by Fiedler favorites Richard Hayman and Leroy Anderson, in addition to a tribute to Judy Garland. Popular jazz vocalist Michelle Amato lends her vocal stylings of your favorite tunes. Principal Pops Conductor Andrew Lane leads the Philharmonic in this performance of popular classics and classic pops, Fiedler-style. Fiedler, long-time conductor of the Boston Pops, made the Pops one of the best-known orchestras in the country with his combination of musicianship and showmanship. He helped bring classical music to mass audiences; while giving lighter genres such as pops a respectability they would not have had if he had not performed and recorded their works with his orchestra. The Orlando Philharmonic’s performance features some of Fiedler’s favorites including Richard Hayman and Leroy Anderson, in addition to a tribute to Judy Garland.

Michelle Amato is a dynamic vocalist whose abilities to convey the deep passion of a lyric, as well as soar effortlessly through the stratosphere are making her one of the most in demand names is music today.
