ORLANDO – Saturday, March 14, marks the third annual Baldwin Park Arts Festival, THE community affair not to be missed. The event, scheduled from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, will feature local artists booths throughout the Village Center Courtyard, with entertainment provided on the fountain stage. Staged entertainment will include professional arts veteran producers such as Orlando Ballet, and Orlando Opera Company.

Baldwin Park Arts festivalIn addition to staged performances, various groups, such as Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, will perform “vignettes” throughout the day in strategically placed positions along New Broad Street in the popular and fast-growing Orlando community. At 4:00 PM, the fountain stage will turn up the heat with a fashion show exhibiting clothing from local merchants. The fashion will be showcased by local models.

This year’s poster will be an original work designed by Lorraine Turner.

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
Youth and adult artists who wish to submit artwork for consideration of participation in Baldwin Park Arts Festival should visit the festival website (www.baldwinparkartsfestival.com) for a downloadable application. Artworks in the following mediums are welcome: Painting, Metal, Drawing, Watercolor, Jewelry, Clay, Mixed Media, Photography, Glass, and Sculpture. If your art design is based on a different medium than what’s mentioned above don’t let that stop you from considering participation.

The Baldwin Park Arts Festival encourages community building through a weekend celebration of the performing arts. ABOUT LORRAINE TURNER
Lorraine returned to art four years ago after a long hiatus. Since then, she has exhibited at the Epcot Flower and Garden Show, Orlando Museum of Art’s First Thursday, Gallery at Avalon, Metro Gallery, Creative Spirit Gallery, Comma Gallery and her work is currently in the chART Gallery in Winter Park. Ms. Turner is a member of Art League of Orlando, Artists Registry and Maitland Art Center. Ms. Turner’s works are all original thoughts and ideas that she likes to infuse with lots of color, light and movement.
