(Orlando, FL – July 8, 2008) - The Orlando Philharmonic proudly announces the fourth concert in its 2008 Sounds of Summer Series, titled Tamas, Family & Friends. The concert takes place on Monday, August 4, 2008, 7:00 PM at the Margeson Theater in the Lowndes Shakespeare Center, 812 E. Rollins Street, Orlando.
This performance features Orlando Philharmonic Concertmaster Tamas Kocsis, along with his wife, cellist Alexandra Desbruslais-Kocsis and his mom, pianist Csilla Szabo for a recital of chamber music. The program features music from their native countries. On the program is Sonata for violin and cello and Sonata for violin and piano by Ravel, Sonata for violin and piano by Debussy, Sonata for violin and piano in A minor, op 105 by Schumann, Adagio for cello and piano by Kodaly and Trio for piano, violin and cello in G Major, op. 73 No 2 by Haydn.
Tickets to Tamas, Family & Friends are: Level 1 seating: $37 for adults, $33 for seniors and $18.50 for students with valid ID; Level 2 seating: $26 for adults, $23 for seniors and $13 for students with valid ID.
