Orlando Philharmonic  Holds Bookfair Fundraiser at Barnes & Noble

The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra will hold a bookfair at  Barnes & Noble on Saturday, September 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., at the Barnes & Noble located at 2418 E. Colonial Drive in Orlando.

Musicians from the Philharmonic will host Instrument Petting Zoos for children  from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. and from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Children will have a fun, hands-on opportunity to meet the musicians and to “play” an instrument of their choice!  A Meet and Greet will be held on the second floor at 2:00 p.m. where Executive Director David Schillhammer will highlight  the 09-10 season followed with a performance by Concertmaster Tamas Kocsis.

A percentage of the day’s sales will go to the Orchestra … this includes sales of  books, CDs, DVDs and food from the cafe. Just present your voucher or mention you want to support the Orlando Philharmonic with your purchase when you go to any register. The voucher can be used at any of the  Barnes & Noble stores nationwide on September 19, and the Philharmonic will get credit for the sales.
