Sounds of Music, a program of the Friend’s Music Academy

The Friend’s Music Academy features engaging presentations for adults. The most popular offering from this initiative is the Sounds of Music Series, presented by the Friends of the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra with guest artists from the Philharmonic. A 4-part enlightening, educational and very fun music appreciation series! All classes are held at the Plaza Live and begin with a meet & greet at 4:30 PM, followed by class at 5.

Volunteer Opportunities

The Orlando Philharmonic is lucky to have two fantastic volunteer and fundraising groups.

The Friends of the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra have more than 300 members, whose mission is to:

  • Promote community awareness and appreciation of the Orchestra through social, cultural and educational events and programs directed towards current as well as the next generation of symphonic music patrons.
  • Contribute to the financial strength of the Orchestra.
  • Provide volunteer support to the Orchestra’s management and staff.
