Ages 5-12

The Orlando Philharmonic provides concerts and events that are perfect for elementary students.  Whether your students are ready to experience their first full orchestra concert, or trying to decide the best instrument for them, we have a program that will fit your needs.

Symphony Storytime Series

Perfect for children ages 3-7, the Symphony Storytime Series presents music that teaches about the instrument families and instills a love of music for your entire family. Each program is brought to life with gorgeous classical music, unforgettable narrators, and beautiful, hand-drawn illustrations.

Join us in The Plaza Live lobby 30 minutes before each show for fun family activities, including mini-performances, coloring stations, and instrument try-outs!

All pre-show activities begin at 10:00 am & 11:30 am.

NEW THIS YEAR:  A pre-concert Toddler Zone that is perfect for little ears!

Young People’s Concerts

A 20+ year tradition that reaches more than 60,000 students annually, the Orlando Philharmonic’s Young People’s Concerts introduce elementary school students to classical music in a fun and interactive concert!

The 2016 Young People’s Concert, Once Upon A Symphony, will showcase music inspired by poetry, fairy tales, and Shakespeare.  The music of Beethoven, Mozart, Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky, and more will awaken the senses and the imagination!

Dancers and opera singers will perform with the full orchestra in a program designed to inspire a lifelong love of music.

Notes in Your Neighborhood

Notes in Your Neighborhood is an after-school outreach program offering elementary students the chance to spend one-on-one time with Philharmonic musicians and volunteers, exploring music and learning how to make music a part of their lives.

Outdoor Family Concert Sponsored by Dr. Phillips Charities

Since 2012, the Orlando Philharmonic has been thrilled to partner with Dr. Phillips Charities to present a free outdoor concert just for families.  In the past this event has included performances by Mr. Richard & the Pound Hounds, the REP Power Chords, and family favorites like Peter & the Wolf.
