Orlando Philharmonic violinist Olga Ferroni and friends gather together once again to bring you a fresh and exciting cross‐genre program of chamber music, old and new. Tickets on sale May 26.
From Olga Ferroni:
“Our Seasons of the Soul program takes you on a musical voyage through the changing seasons, symbolizing the cycle of growth, transformation, and rebirth. Throughout history, a great many musical works have been produced relaying the mood of each particular season, and the corresponding spiritual message. Starting with Summer Canon written in the year 1240, we will explore seasons‐themed music of various genres and epochs ‐ classics by Vivaldi, Tchaikovsky, Grieg, Mendelssohn, and others, as well as familiar jazz standards.
“The program will also feature U.S. premieres of original chamber music by Russian‐born Orlando resident Sergei Kossenko, who will perform the piano part. A new composition by Kossenko written specially for this program will also be performed, along with his earlier works, as though tracing a path of artistic development through the seasons of life.”
