The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra (OPO) Board of Directors has elected Lawrence A. Kellogg as its new Board Chair. Kellogg, a dedicated member of the OPO board since 2019, brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership in his new role. His term begins immediately.
Lawrence is the former Board Vice President and President-Elect (2024-2026), and prior to that served as Board Secretary (2021-2024). He has served on several committees, including Executive Committee, Budget & Finance, Membership & Governance, Philanthropy Committee, and Labor Relations, playing a key role in the orchestra’s collective bargaining process as well as negotiations with IATSE for the past couple cycles.
Other notable contributions to the orchestra include serving on a strategic planning task force while developing the orchestra’s new strategic plan as part of the DeVos Institute of Arts and Nonprofit Management Capacity Building Central Florida Program. Outside of his commitment to the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, Lawrence is a founding partner of Miami-based law firm LKLSG.
“As I begin my new role as President, I am very excited about the upcoming Season, and where our Orlando Phil is positioned today and for the future,” said Lawrence. “We have a clear vision for the next five years: to grow our audiences for all of our programming, to continue to excel artistically, to continue to fulfill our unsurpassed educational mission, to broaden our community service to every part of Central Florida, and to continue to work with our artistic partners toward a vital arts ecology in Central Florida.”
Together with his wife, Cathy Roth Kellogg, he is also a dedicated philanthropist and concert sponsor for the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra.
