Carolyn retired in 2004 and moved permanently to the Orlando area in 2005 to be near her only child and his family. She wanted to be a part of the lives of her grandchildren as they grew up. As part of the bonding effort with her family, she has purchased subscription tickets to the Phil and continues to enjoy “date” nights, one-on-one, with dinner and a concert included.
Carolyn worked in the front of house at the Orchestra Hall, home of the Minnesota Orchestra, for a number of years, so it was natural when she moved here to join the Friends of the Orlando Philharmonic and volunteer for the Phil. She soon became a part of the Development Department and was subsequently asked to join the staff on a part-time basis. In her spare time, she enjoys her family, friends, concerts, theatre, and has an active social life.
