Michael Fee is originally from St. Petersburg, FL. His musical career began with piano lessons at age 6 and playing trumpet in the school band at age 10. By age 12, he had decided that trumpet playing was what he wanted to do for a living. After graduating from the University of South Florida in 2000, he began working as a freelance trumpeter, playing for many different touring Broadway productions and Symphony Orchestras throughout the state. In 2002 he began performing regularly with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra as a substitute, and in 2019 won the principal trumpet position. In addition to OPO, he also performs regularly with several other ensembles including The Florida Orchestra, Bach Festival Society of Winter Park, and the Candlelight Processional Orchestra at Disney’s Epcot Center.
