Director of Education and Community Engagement
Jessica Munch-Dittmar joins the Orlando Philharmonic after serving as the Winston-Salem Symphony’s first full-time Education & Community Engagement Director since 2013. In addition to maintaining an active private teaching studio instructing children and adults on orchestra and band instruments, Munch-Dittmar previously served as Volunteer & Program Coordinator for the Creative & Performing Arts Program of The Salvation Army of Savannah, Georgia, as a Music Educator and Administrative Consultant for Mrs. G’s Music Foundation, as a Music Educator in the York, Aiken, Lexington and Jasper County (South Carolina) Schools, as a New Horizons Band Low Brass Instructor, and as Theater House Manager for the University of South Carolina’s Aiken Campus, where she also served as Assistant to the Band Director.
She earned her Masters of Arts Administration from the Savannah College of Art and Design, and holds a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of South Carolina. Munch-Dittmar is presently a member of the National Association for Music Educators and the International Tuba Euphonium Association.
