Beethoven– Piano Trio in B-flat Major, Op. 97 “Archduke Trio”
Beethoven– Cello Sonata No. 1

The Resonate performances conclude May 2026 with a mini Beethoven fest preceding the weekend performances of Beethoven’s powerful Symphony No. 9. This all Beethoven program will feature Concertmaster Rimma Bergeron-Langlois. The “Archduke Trio” will prominently feature piano and is widely considered one of Beethoven’s masterpieces from his “middle period” as he became increasingly more deaf. His Cello Sonata No. 1 is one of the first major works to elevate the cello as an equal partner to the piano, full of dramatic contrasts, playful exchanges, and dazzling technical brilliance.
