Planned Giving

Your legacy gift is an investment in the future of the Orlando Philharmonic and our work in the Central Florida community.

Heritage Society

The Heritage Society honors donors who make legacy gifts to the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra in their will with gifts of cash or securities, retirement plan assets, or paid-up life insurance policies, and donors who make life income gifts through Charitable Gift Annuities or Charitable Remainder Trusts.

How can you join the Heritage Society?

  • Include the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra in your will or estate plans. Bequest gifts are one of the most popular and flexible ways to make a planned gift. We can support you as you begin the conversation with your tax and legal advisors. Sample bequest language:
I __________ devise and bequeath to Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, Inc., a non-profit agency registered in the State of Florida, the sum of $________ (or otherwise describe the gift; often a percentage of the estate is designated) to be used in the furtherance of its mission and general purposes.
  • Designate the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra as a partial, full or contingent beneficiary of your life insurance policy.
  • Make a gift from your retirement assets. If you are 70 ½ and you have funds in a company pension plan or IRA you may be able to reduce your taxes by directing a qualified charitable contribution from your IRA to the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra.
  • Charitable Gift Annuities and Charitable Remainder Trusts are vehicles to help you support your favorite charities during life. The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra works with the Central Florida Foundation to offer these options to our donors.
