Join us at the Dr. Phillips Center Walt Disney Theater Lobby for a FREE Family Day with your Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra!
In between the Young People’s Concert at 1 p.m. and Disney’s Hocus Pocus Live in Concert at 6 p.m., we’ll have free activities in the lobby for the whole family to enjoy from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please note at 4:30 p.m., the lobby will open for Hocus Pocus ticket holders only.
Throughout the afternoon, guests can enjoy a variety of activities and performances:
Live Performances:
- 2:00 PM: Orlando Youth Chamber Ensemble
- 3:00 PM: A Gift for Music
- 4:00 PM: Mexico Lindo Folkloric Ballet Orlando
- 5:00 PM: Innovation High School
Interactive Booths and Activities: Families can explore booths hosted by key community partners, including:
- The Orlando Magic
- Lake Community Arts
- Stetson University
- Opera Orlando
- Orlando Family Stage
- Florida Symphony Youth Orchestras
- Orlando Youth Chamber Ensembles
- A Gift for Music
- A community ofrenda to celebrate Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos) hosted by Casa de Mexico
- and more!
In addition to these partners, a wide range of hands-on activities will be available for children and families, including:
- Instrument Petting Zoo: A popular favorite where children can get up close and try a variety of orchestral instruments.
- Craft Tables: Creative stations for making and decorating fall-themed crafts.
- Photo Booth: A themed photo opportunity to capture the memories.
- Costume Contest: Guests are encouraged to come in costume and participate in a contest with special prizes (see costume guidelines below)
Tickets for both the Young People’s Concert and Disney’s Hocus Pocus in Concert Live to Film are sold separately. The lobby activities from 2:00-4:30 p.m. are free to attend and open to all, regardless of concert ticket purchase.

Some Helpful Costume Guidelines: To ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience, we kindly ask you to keep these costume guidelines in mind. Please do not bring or wear the following:
– Face paint or costume masks
– Props or items that resemble weapons, signage larger than a standard sheet of paper
– Distracting items, including laser pointers, noisemakers, amplifiers, balloons
– Any other items deemed by Dr. Phillips Center as dangerous, illegal or detrimental to others enjoying the experience
