Hobbies/Interests: I love dog agility and look forward to training our papillon, Marco. I’m an avid reader and we go to movies when we can. We also have a healthy pride of cats– Avery, Louis, George, and Ricky.

Cellist and native Hoosier Brenda Higgins holds a Master of Music in Cello Performance from Ball State University and completed a year of doctoral studies before winning an audition and joining the Orlando Philharmonic’s predecessor, the Florida Symphony Orchestra, in 1975. Her primary teachers were Joseph Saunders, Shirley Tabachnick, Nicholas Jones, Robert Montgomery, and David Darling.
