Chris Confessore serves as Music Director of the Brevard Symphony Orchestra in Melbourne, FL and Principal POPS Conductor of the Alabama Symphony Orchestra. His schedule as a guest conductor has included appearances with orchestras across the country, including the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Houston Symphony, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Buffalo Philharmonic, Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Tucson Symphony Orchestra, New Mexico Philharmonic, and many more. He also appears as a conductor of Walt Disney World’s Candlelight Processional at EPCOT – a production featuring a full orchestra, 300-voice choir and celebrity narrators including Whoopi Goldberg, Neil Patrick Harris, and Kurt Russell. Maestro Confessore has accompanied a distinguished list of artists, including virtuoso violinists Itzhak Perlman and Joshua Bell, world-renowned pianist Lang Lang and Grammy Award Winning Pops Artists such as Art Garfunkel, Amy Grant, LeAnn Rimes, Patti LaBelle, Judy Collins, Rick Springfield, the Indigo Girls and Tony Award Winners Idina Menzel and Jennifer Holliday.
Throughout his career, Mr. Confessore has demonstrated a strong commitment to sharing symphonic music with young people. During the 2024-25 season he will conduct more than 35 performances of several educational programs with orchestras across the country for a combined audience of more than 60,000 eager young listeners. He is proud to have served as a conductor of the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra’s acclaimed Young People’s Concerts since 2013.
