Equally at home on the operatic stage, in the concert hall, or performing chamber music, Richard Crawley captivates audiences with his passionate singing and nuanced dramatic presence.

Recent highlights include his acclaimed performances as the lead role of Solomon Schechter in the World Premiere of Geniza: Hidden Fragments in Washington, D.C., and as Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof at the Walt Disney Theater in Orlando. Headlining this season’s operatic calendar are his engagements performing the title role in Macbeth with Opera Tampa and Father Palmer with Opera Orlando.

Mr. Crawley’s extensive performance career includes appearances as a featured soloist and in leading roles with orchestras and opera companies across the globe. U.S. Opera Credits feature the Metropolitan Opera, New York City Opera, San Francisco Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Houston Grand Opera, Santa Fe Opera, Atlanta Opera, Portland Opera, and Boston Lyric Opera. International Opera Credits include the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, the Savonlinna Opera Festival in Finland, State Opera of South Australia, Staatstheater Stuttgart, the Marinsky Theater in St. Petersburg, Russia, Opéra de Québec, and the Greek National Opera.

As an orchestral soloist, he has been featured by the Tokyo Oratorio Society, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Dayton Philharmonic, Hong Kong Symphony, Bay-Atlantic Symphony, Greater Bridgeport Symphony, the National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica, and the Syracuse Symphony. He has also appeared at Carnegie Hall, the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., and Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center.
