Decision to Cancel Fundraiser Gala made unanimously by Board and Executive Leadership at
Orlando Ballet, Orlando Opera Company, and Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra
ORLANDO, October 23, 2008 – Orlando Ballet, Orlando Opera Company, and Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra have decided to cancel the 2008 Grande Masque Ball. This decision was made yesterday after a Steering Committee meeting in which board and executive leaders of each organization were present. It was felt that a top dollar, black-tie event was not appropriate given the current state of the economy.
