Dr. Brian S. Brink is an associate professor and Director of Instrumental Studies at Florida Southern College in Lakeland. He currently teaches trombone, freshman and sophomore level Music Theory and Aural Skills, as well as Orchestration. In the past, he has also acted as the Music Department Chair and as director of the FSC Jazz Ensemble.
Brian earned his Doctor of Music Performance from Florida State University, Master of Music Performance from the University of North Texas, and Bachelor of Music Performance from Florida State University. He is active in the Central Florida area, and as a freelance musician, he has performed throughout Florida, having worked with such artists as Ray Charles, Mel Torme, Dizzy Gillespie, Peter Nero, Robert Goulet, Shirley Jones, Diana Ross, Wayne Newton, The Joffrey Ballet, The Moody Blues, The Temptations and Kansas.
