Daniel Kassteen was named Principal Trumpet of the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra in 2024 and brings over 20 years of orchestral experience. Originally from North New Jersey, Mr. Kassteen studied at Rutgers University, Cleveland Institute of Music, and Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University. Daniel became a member of the Louisville Orchestra in 2002 and performed with that ensemble for 16 Seasons. During his tenure in Louisville, he also served as Principal Trumpet for Orchestra Kentucky Bowling Green and was a regular substitute with the Nashville Symphony. In 2012, he joined the NSO on tour to perform in Carnegie Hall and participated in multiple recordings with the ensemble. Daniel made his Las Vegas debut in 2019, performing with the Neil Diamond Experience. Additionally, he has been a member of Des Moines Metro Opera, the Sarasota Orchestra, and the Venice Symphony. He has performed with the renowned symphony orchestras of St. Louis, Cincinnati, Jacksonville, Naples, and since 2020 has been performing regularly with The Florida Orchestra. Mr. Kassteen is a member of the Sarasota Jazz Project, a board member for Sarasota Young Voices, and an active member of Sarasota Baptist Church. He and his wife Adrienne share their home with two cats, Tall Socks and GT.
