Jonathan Stilwell

I love performing, studying and listening to music because it reaches into the soul and spirit of a human being, and expresses its innermost feelings, longings and hopes.

Prior to moving to Central Florida in 1991, Jonathan Stilwell played with the orchestras in Dayton, Akron, and Youngstown (assistant principal), and the Wheeling Symphony (principal), and substituted with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. From 1991 to 2002, he taught orchestra in the public school system in Central Florida, and maintained a private teaching studio. In 1995 he began playing with Music Orlando, a predecessor of the Orlando Philharmonic, and in 2003, he won his his current position as third cello. Jonathan keeps an active teaching studio, and enjoys teaching students of all ages.  He currently teaches at Rollins College.
