Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra FACT Sheet

Dear Orlando Philharmonic Family,

On behalf of the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, THANK YOU for your excitement and passion about the orchestra’s future at the Dr. Phillips Center.

As you may be aware, our negotiations with Dr. Phillips Center are currently on hold and we hope to resume and finalize our contract in the very near future. Our focus is, necessarily, on the long-term viability of the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra. We are currently focusing on practical considerations, especially overall costs for us to perform in Steinmetz Hall. Ensuring that we are able to provide the highest quality performances that our community will be able to afford is our top priority.

For more information about negotiations with the Dr. Phillips Center, the Orlando Ballet, Opera Orlando, and Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra have collaborated to provide this FACT Sheet. Information in this document will be updated when necessary.

In the meantime, we are preparing for our 27th Season, opening in just 57 days! I hope to see you at the Bob Carr Theater on September 28 as we welcome our great orchestra to the stage with Music Director Eric Jacobsen on the podium.

Thank you to the entire community for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Dr. Mary Palmer

President, Orlando Philharmonic Board of Directors
