Originally programmed as a performance of Mahler’s 2nd Symphony, due to unforeseen circumstances, the program for the Classics Series concert on May 11 and 12, 2024 has changed.
The program for the evening will include:
MOZART – Ave Verum Corpus
HINDEMITH – Symphonic Metamorphosis of Themes by Carl Maria von Weber
MAHLER – Ruckert Lieder
FAURE – Pavane
BEETHOVEN – Symphony No. 5 “Fate”
The concert will still be performed on May 11 at 7:30 p.m. and 12 at 3:30 p.m., 2024 at Steinmetz Hall at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. Music Director Eric Jacobsen will still conduct these concerts featuring your Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra. Mezzo-soprano Jamie Barton will still be a soloist for both concerts, as will the University of Central Florida Chorus and the Stetson University Concert Choir.
For patrons who have already purchased your tickets, no action is needed on your part. All tickets previously sold for these concerts are valid. If you are an OPO Subscriber and wish to return your tickets, please contact the OPO Box Office. If you are a single ticket holder and purchased tickets through the Dr. Phillips Center, please note all sales are final, with no refunds or exchanges.
