The Springs 2024 Postponement

Dear OPO Supporters,

As we reflect on the wonderful memories of The Springs concert, we share our heartfelt gratitude on behalf of our board, musicians, and staff for your support of this truly on-of-a kind concert.

After careful consideration, due to the transition this year with our Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra leadership and our facility renovation as well as the increased costs associated with this event, it is necessary for us to postpone the 2024 concert to ensure we can plan for logistical and artistic success. This will give us the needed time to work with The Springs board members to create a mutually beneficial agreement. This year of planning will also give us the opportunity to engage the needed support to meet the growing financial requirements of this production.

The partnership between The Springs Community, Certified Financial Group, Seminole County, generous sponsors, and the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra has been nothing short of extraordinary. The magic of this event is a testament to the unique beauty of The Springs venue combined with our full orchestra and guest artists blend of pop and rock music with the power of classical music. The carefully curated concert has featured the timeless music of legends such as Queen, ABBA, The Police, The Beatles, Journey, Marvin Gaye, Billy Joel, Eagles, Chicago, James Taylor, Elton John, and Earth Wind and Fire, among others.

It is heartening to see how this event has become a highlight of our community calendar, drawing music lovers from across Central Florida. The careful planning, diligence, and the passion invested by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra with The Springs community and other partners is important to us.

We invite you to attend other exciting events coming up in our 23/24 Season such as, Rhapsody Gala, Resonate Festival, and other extraordinary concerts with Music Director Eric Jacobsen.

We look forward to sharing plans around the collaboration and planning around The Springs in the future!

Very truly yours,

Melody B. Lynch
